Document Search (100.C)

Description
Documents represent the primary mode of storing information in charts. This includes insurance cards, photos, archived encounter visits, notes, emails, imaging reports, lab results, tasks, injection records, submitted questionnaires, and many other forms of data. Document types label and categorize documents. Reports can be run based on document types within the Chart Search portlet found in the Quick View sidemenu tab, from the E-Chart side menu tab, or from the Document Search report within the Reports sidemenu tab. Since information is primarily stored as documents within the system, the sheer number of documents can become overwhelming when wanting to find a specific particular document. A robust Document Search tool and report helps make finding a specific document quick and efficient.
